Harlequin
Acrocinus longimanus
This beetle was a long way from home on my front steps taking in the sights in Urunga because he is a native from elsewhere. The
harlequin beetle is a large tropical longhorned beetle native to the

There are no men in Mangroves!
They are not like olive groves.

The Night Sky in August
The sky is very interesting at the moment with the moon lining up with various stars and giving a spectacular site every morning before dawn. The 9th September 2012 is the time that Sirius is closest to us she will be for the next 24,000 years.

Where is Jack?
My humble Bean.
When I had children, I made sure I photographed their every move. I have a gazillion hard photographs well organized now in a huge tub you could bathe in if you needed to, it is just that big. The price didn't really get cheaper. I tried some printing with my nifty printer which offered this when we purchased our first digital point and shoot camera. I quickly learned this was not cost effective either. Then came the digital camera big time. I have had a few over the recent years. But now I have a Canon 60D and everyday is a photographic joy.
I must delete more images though, then I will know that I have left the past where it belongs.
